The furniture that you choose for the nursery will probably only be used for the first few years, because as our babies grow into children they have different needs. We can also make choices though for toy storage for example that can last a lot longer or what about a babies cot that converts into a junior bed.
One thing that we possibly need to think about when choosing the furniture especially if this is your first baby is if we stick to more neutral colors could it be stored and used when or if we decide to extend our family unit again. When choosing bedding go for colors other than pink or blue for the most part and then when baby is born go out and buy a special blanket that will be just for them.
Changing units, cradles, cots, can all be reused the only thing that we may wish to replace for a second or third child would possibly be the mattress in the cradle or cot.
